The garage is a design studio
[DRAFT] What a seized bolt and a stripped thread taught me about shipping software.
[DRAFT — starter article, replace with the real thing.]
Nobody designs a bolt to seize. It seizes because of fifteen years of rain, heat, and the wrong torque someone applied once and forgot. Software rots the same way — not from one bad decision, but from a hundred small ones nobody wrote down.
You can’t reason a stuck bolt loose
In the garage there’s no arguing with the material. The bolt is stuck or it isn’t. That honesty is missing from a lot of product work, where a thing can look finished and still be quietly broken underneath.
Tools you can trust
I keep a small set of tools I actually trust — in the garage and on the screen. Fewer, better, known. The rest is noise dressed up as options.
